SBSP – Facilities Update

Please be advised that from the week commencing September 4^th, contractors will be on site at Swansea Bay Sports Park to begin work on:

1. Installation of a new, full size, floodlit 3G pitch. This will sit on our former ‘Sketty 1’ pitch, immediately below the Athletics Track, and will be a rugby and football compliant surface, with the capacity to host a number of other sports as well.
2. Upgrade of ‘Sketty 2’ (lower grass pitch), laser levelling the grass surface and installing partial floodlight for training purposes. 

This work will cause some disruption, with part of Wales National Pool car park closed for the duration of the project, and access to the Pavilion restricted to pedestrians only via a diverted route – details will be shared with Pavilion group leads directly.
