Les Mills are pioneers in group fitness, with their instructor led classes including GRIT STRENGTH, GRIT ATHLETIC, GRIT CARDIO and BODYPUMP playing a core part of the fitness timetable at the Swansea Bay Sports Park. 

Always looking for innovative way improve fitness journeys, we decided to join Les Mills Virtual creating a new virtual studio to provide an expanded fitness timetable! This leading group fitness brand brings accessible and addictive classes, which combine great music and movement.

Les Mills virtual classes are pre-recorded, cinematic quality versions of live classes! The classes will be played in the virtual studio at Swansea Bay Sports Park, accompanied by high energy music and atmosphere enhancing lights.

We recognise that the way we exercise is evolving; we want variety and we want to work out at a time that suits us. Check out our class timetable and book your class today!

What is “On Demand” and how does it work?

  • Pop in and ask for your virtual class of choice during the “On Demand” slots on the timetable (BodyBalance, BodyCombat, CXWORX, Grit Athletic, Cardio, Strength, or RPM)
  • Head to the Virtual Studio and select your class using the tablet outside the studio
  • Work hard and feel the benefits of the fun, varied classes available at a time that suits you!
  • Classes range from 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes in duration and slots are available on a first come, first serve basis.

The wellbeing benefits of group exercise are massive, both physically and mentally, so this is an exciting addition to Sport Swansea’s portfolio. With classes perfect for those starting out on their fitness journey as well as those wanting to enhance their training schedule – but don’t just take our word for it!

“Swansea University Equestrian Club were lucky to have the opportunity to trial some virtual classes courtesy of Sport Swansea. The first class we tried was the CXWORX class – a 30 minute core blast. We found this to be a good workout that gets the heart rate going and really challenges your core. Suitable for all abilities as there are two options for each exercise. This class is really beneficial to us as riders as having a strong core is essential. 

We also tried out the Body Balance class which combined Yoga, Pilates & Tai Chi. This again relates to the core and also balance – all essential to us as riders. 

We enjoyed the classes and found them so useful that we will now be incorporating them into our team training plans! The classes are also very reasonably priced, suitable for all students.
