We want our customers to feel safe whilst using our facilities.

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have put in place a number of safety procedures that we kindly ask all customers to adhere to when using our facilities.

General Guidance

Do not enter our facilities if:

  • you have received a positive test for Covid-19 in the last 10 days, unless 2 negative LFTs are returned on consecutive days from day 6 & 7 of the isolation period onwards.
  • you are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms and/or awaiting PCR test results
  • you have been identified as a close contact by Contact Tracers and advised to isolate, unless you are under 18 or fully vaccinated.

In the event anyone becomes unwell with COVID-19 symptoms during a session, they must:

  • leave immediately, avoiding contact with others, surfaces, and equipment
  • notify group organiser/member of facility staff as soon as possible
  • adhere to Public Health Wales guidance

Social distancing should be observed where possible.

Customers classed as vulnerable should seek medical guidance before attending

Staff will continue to provide First Aid cover. Injured persons will be encouraged to self-administer treatment where possible, with qualified First Aid staff overseeing. Where this is not possible, staff have been issued with appropriate PPE to safely administer treatment.

Where group bookings are made, it is the responsibility of group organisers to ensure Track & Trace information is collected and retained.

Face coverings are mandatory for all staff, students, customers and visitors whilst on site. Therefore, please be advised:

  • Face coverings must be worn by all customers/users when moving around Sport Swansea indoor facilities, but can be removed during sessions.
  • Face coverings are encouraged for all customers/users when traveling to/from/between outdoor facilities, but can be removed during sessions. However, masks and coverings are still a sensible precaution when moving around outside

Facility rules must be abided by at all times.

Pavilion

Hand-sanitising stations are available throughout the facility.

Signage to remain in place throughout the facilities encouraging customers to observe social distancing where possible.

Touchpoints in the gym, lecture room, and external to changing rooms will continue to be sanitised hourly during bookings. Touchpoints inside changing rooms will be sanitised before & after bookings, but not during. Customers provided access to cleaning products and advised to follow good hand hygiene procedures at all times.

All available windows to remain open, where possible, whilst facilities are in use.

Pavilion – Changing Rooms

Access available for Pavilion, Playing Fields and Track bookings only.

Access/egress via the main entrance doors.

Hand sanitising stations will be available at entrance doors.

Disinfectant and wipes will be available in the changing rooms – customers are requested to sanitise benches before & after use.

Customers are requested to keep their distance within changing rooms. Capacities:

Male – 30

Female – 15

Lecture Room – 25

If changing rooms are busy, customers are requested to refrain from using until space becomes available.

Training Nights

  • Gym users (Male & Female) – to use the main part of the Male changing room, and the whole of the Female changing rooms
  • Grass users (Male) – to use the segregated room within the Male changing room for kit storage & changing only (no showers). Capacity – 10 at any given time.
  • Grass users (Female) – to use the Pavilion Lecture Room for kit storage & changing only (no showers). Capacity – 15 at any given time.

Grass Fixtures

BUCS

  • Away teams to use male/female changing room – exclusive access
  • Home teams to use Pavilion Lecture Room for kit storage & changing only (no showers)
  • Grounds team will disinfect areas between teams
  • Pavilion Gym users to access facility via rear fire door, use toilets available on side of Pavilion, and utilise the first floor changing rooms in the Sports Centre where need be. Facility staff will notify affected groups in advance.

Saturdays/Welsh League

  • Away team in Male changing room – exclusive access
  • Home team in Female changing room – exclusive access
  • Grounds team will disinfect areas between teams
  • Pavilion Gym users to access facility via rear fire door, use toilets available on side of Pavilion, and utilise the first floor changing rooms in the Sports Centre where need be. Facility staff will notify affected groups in advance.

Customers are requested to shower and change quickly in order to reduce congestion.

Male changing rooms – please use alternate showers only, avoiding showers marked with an ‘X’

Pavilion – Gym

Access/egress will be through the changing rooms.

Staff will deep clean & sanitise all mats on a monthly basis.

It is the responsibility of groups & individual users to spray & wipe mats after each booking – disinfectant spray and wipes will be available in the gym for this. 15-minute gaps will be provided after each booking for sanitising.

Gym capacity – 30.

Groups/clubs/teams to ensure compliance with their respective NGB guidance for safe return to play.

Pavilion – Lecture Room

Access/egress will be via the stairs – users requested to ensure stairs are clear before accessing, in order to prevent passing in close proximity. ‘Keep left’ signage in place.

Lecture Room capacity:

Physical activities/classes – 15 (holistic classes only)

Lectures – 18 seated plus 2 instructors
