High Performance Sports Clubs

We have a select group of sports that make up the universities high performance sports programme. Each high performance sport has a dedicated head of stream who works closely with the coaches to give athletes every opportunity to deliver top-level performance. Our high performance sports also receive; sports science services, athlete lifestyle management, physiotherapy and strength and conditioning support.

Our teams have achieved success in British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) competitions, and individual athletes have triumphed at university, national and international level. With many of the high performance clubs there is an opportunity to compete in the Welsh/British domestic system in their respective sport.

The women’s football team is a highly competitive and enthusiastic squad, with two teams competing in BUCS and other competitions.
The club has a fitness coach and organises events such as socials and five-a-side competitions.
