Making working out a habit can be challenging, but it’s worth the effort. Here are some tips to help you establish a workout routine that sticks:

  1. Set achievable goals

Start by setting small and achievable goals that will help you build momentum. For example, aim to work out for 30 minutes a day, three times a week. Short bursts of exercise can be really effective, and our in house fitness classes are perfect for this – whether that’s an in-house Evolve session, or something a bit more relaxing such as our Pilates and Yoga.

  1. Schedule your workouts

Treat your workouts like appointments and schedule them in advance. This will help you make working out a priority and ensure that you have time for it in your busy schedule. If we can recommend anything, it is to get your workout in in the morning, then it’s out of the way for the day and you get the day off to a good start.

  1. Find a workout buddy

Having a workout partner can help keep you motivated and accountable. Plus, it’s more fun to exercise with someone else! We have a positive workout culture in all our classes at Swansea Bay Sports Park and everyone is super welcoming, so you will feel right at home.

  1. Mix it up

Doing the same workout every day can get boring, so try mixing it up. Incorporate different types of exercise, such as strength training, cardio, and yoga (all of which you can do at Swansea Bay Sports Park!) to keep things interesting.

  1. Celebrate your progress

Celebrate your progress along the way. Whether it’s by treating yourself to a new workout outfit from one of your favourite retailers, or simply acknowledging your hard work, recognizing your achievements can help keep you motivated.

Remember, building a habit takes time and effort, but with persistence and dedication, you can make working out a regular part of your routine!
