Are you a strong swimmer with a passion for customer service? If so then Wales National Pool Swansea would love you to come and join our team!
An NPLQ/NARS pool qualification is required.
You will be required to demonstrate swimming ability and aptitude as part of the interview process.
Benefits of working for Wales National Pool Swansea, the national aquatic centre for Wales include, free gym and swim use, free parking, generous pension scheme and a minimum of 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays per annum (increases with length of service and is pro-rata for part time staff).
Full Time positions available only.
Sports Assistants/Lifeguards are required to work on a shift rota, which will includes regular morning, evening, daytime, weekend and Bank Holidays shifts.
The position requires an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check.

LEVEL 2 SWIMMING TEACHER – Qualified or Train to Post Positions

Permanent: 2 to 11 hours per week contract
Salary £25,233-£26,778 (SCP 19-22) per annum pro rata
We are looking for enthusiastic, qualified and experienced Level 2 teachers to join our swim school. However, training can be provided to the right candidate.
Hours of work will include evenings and/or weekends. Please note that some of these hours will include in water instruction with a dryside co-teacher.

- ATHLETICS ACADEMY LEAD COACH

This is fixed term until the 31/07/2024. This is a zero hour contract. 2 hours per week.Our Athletics Academy is targeted at children of all abilities aged 8-9 (school year 4). The aim of the Academy is to provide participants with an introduction to athletics, and the various disciplines within the sport, as well as some core movement skills. Successful candidates will lead a small team of coaches to deliver athletics sessions.
Post holder will be responsible for leading and overseeing the delivery of our junior Athletics Academy, a scheme that currently runs one evening a week over three 10-week terms. Responsibilities include session planning to build skill levels across three 10-week terms, covering a run, jump, and throw discipline each week. Additional responsibilities include managing a small team of coaches, liaising with facilities staff, and serving as the primary point of contact for parents/guardians.
Applicants should hold a current UKA ‘Athletics Coach’ qualification and have experience in coaching/working with young/novice athletes. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate experience in managing a small team, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and sound knowledge of current coaching and training practices.

Post holders will assist in the delivery of our junior Athletics Academy, a scheme that currently runs one evening a week over three 10-week terms. Applicants will be expected to deliver the full range of Athletics events, broken down into a run/jump/throw each week.
Applicants should hold a current UKA ‘Coaching Assistant’ qualification or be prepared to undertake the necessary training to obtain this before October 2023. Experience of coaching young/novice athletes also desirable, as is evidence of working in a small team, excellent interpersonal skills, and sound technical knowledge across all athletics disciplines.

Wales National Pool Swansea is looking for a friendly customer focussed Receptionist to add to our dynamic team.
Within this role you will assist in the efficient, effective and economic delivery of reception membership and booking services within the facility in order to fulfil the requirements of the Wales National Pool.
Excellent Customer Care skills and sales experience are a must and the ideal candidate should have proven administrative skills, be computer literate with good keyboard skills, and have experience of working with members of the public in a customer-orientated environment.
This post will require the successful applicant will be required to work on a shift rota, which will include regular early morning, evening, weekend and Bank Holidays see attached rota.
