As construction of the National Institute for Sport & Health progresses, we regret to inform members that parking capacity at Swansea Bay Sports Park (SBSP) will shortly be reduced further to make way for a materials compound, indicated below. While there may be opportunities to reduce compound sizes as the project progresses, it is anticipated these will largely remain in place until summer 2027.

In an effort to minimise disruption during this period, a number of alternative parking options have been made available for SBSP customers.

Overspill parking remains available in the Singleton Hospital staff car park:

  • Monday to Friday: 4:00pm–11:00pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 8:30am–6:30pm

To mitigate the further reduction in parking at the Wales National Pool (WNP):

  • Daytime overspill parking will be available in the King George V Playing Fields (KGVPF) car parks, accessed via the service yard at the rear of WNP.
  • Pay & display will shortly be introduced in both KGVPF car parks and will operate Monday to Friday, 8:00am–3:30pm.
  • SBSP customers will continue to benefit from preferential parking rates across all Sports Park car parks by paying at WNP reception (there is no requirement to return to your vehicle to display a ticket).
  • Existing monthly and annual SBSP parking subscriptions will also be valid in both KGVPF car parks.

The introduction of pay & display at KGVPF is intended to protect parking availability for SBSP customers during office hours.
